I can’t say how touched I have been with the support I have gotten from family and friends. Over the past week I have gotten calls, text messages and emails wishing me a Buen Camino. Not a single person questioned what I am doing or why.
Thank you friends and family. I will carry you in my heart as I walk.
And, then there is this guy!
Ray has has always been my rock. No doubt when he first heard me say I wanted to do the Camino, he knew exactly what he would be in for. I can’t do something halfway. I can’t even do something ALL the Way! When I am pursuing something I am in 150%.
What this meant for Ray is that for the past year, the Camino has been a part of our daily life. Whether is was an analysis of how I performed on a training walk (like EVERYDAY), a comparison of multipurpose soaps or selecting the perfect clothes, Ray was with me every step of the way. And, he wasn’t just there, he was interested and engaged and so helpful and supportive.
But, that is Ray. My soulmate. My rock. The one who made my Camino possible! Holding down the fort at home and at work while I take off to walk across Spain. I am the luckiest girl ever!
No Robin. I am the lucky one.
Robin, I think you are AMAZING!!!! Your Dad would be bursting with pride if he was with us now.
A retreat is cleansing of the soul. But…. this pilgrimage you have taken by yourself is fantastic!!!! I mentally took it with you after reading your blogs. I admire your strong will to complete the daily adventures. And, Dear Robin, I admire your loving husband, Ray, to cover for you while you accomplish your amazing WALK? I love you Robin. Aunt Jeanne
